New Orleans was founded by the French who gifted it to Spain for 40 years in 1763. New Orleans’ Carnival tradition has centuries-old roots in French and Spanish Catholicism. (Bet you thought it was just rooted in alcoholism!)

Marc will help us explore wines from the border region between France and Spain. Expand your horizons, bring friends or impress a date and learn about:

  • Tart acidic Txakolina from the northern Basque region of Spain or,
  • Cava from slightly farther south near Barcelona or,
  • The sweet wines of Banyuls (France) or,
  • Heavy Tannat based wines from Iroleguy and Madiran
